Hayley & Colin
My first experience of second shooting since I decided to go it alone and start shooting weddings on my own was this amazing day. I photographed this wedding helping my good friend and excellent photographer Peter Hughes. Peter had helped me, second shooting one of my weddings a few weeks prior to this wedding, so naturally I returned the favour. What a privilege it was to be a part of.
The day started out in Hayley's parents house, where her bridesmaids, mum and herself got ready for the big day. As with all the wedding I have been a part of, all the girls where super relaxed and all having fun. Even the father of the bride was chilled out (I think he was happy with the male company myself and Peter gave him).
Peter, challenged me to the groom prep. "No problem at all, lets do this". Groom prep was in Colins house, and like the girls, the boys where perfectly relaxed and enjoying the banter being thrown about the house. I snapped the shots I needed to get, then returned to the bridal party putting the finishing touches to their stunning outfits. The Bride looked perfect with her amazing flower head band contrasted against her lovely white dress.
The ceremony was at the stunning Christ the King Catholic Church in Liverpool. Then on from there to the very cool Everyman Theatre in Liverpool City Centre. The very impressive Catholic Cathedral is just over the road from the theatre, so Peter opted to take some photos there and we snapped the large group shot using the balcony at the front of the Everyman. The wedding party dropped some confetti over the edge of the balcony which looked pretty awesome!
The wedding remained in the Everyman for the rest of the day. This wedding was everything a wedding should be. All the guests where absolutely brilliant and kept myself and Peter entertained all day and well into the night.
Thanks for asking me to second shoot for you Peter, I had an absolute ball!
