Sarah & Tom
I love booking weddings in new places! Adlington Hall is a well know venue for wedding photography in and around Liverpool and Manchester. The chance to shoot here was super exciting! Sarah and Tom, like most of the couples I shoot for, straight away seemed very shy when it came to having photos taken. So, when I called to their house to meet them, I suggested they took up my offer for a free engagement shoot to see how I work and to hopefully relax in front of the camera! We got along so well, I am so lucky to shoot for the couples I do, we basically laughed about their love for DIY and my new house in need of DIY! The pre wedding shoot was huge success, onto the big day guys!!!
Sarah chose the very beautiful Mottram Hall for her bridal prep. Again very excited to be shooting there, I arrived to find Sarah and her brides maids, ridiculously calm. They made me feel so at ease from the get go, which is usually the photographers job to make every feel at ease, so that was a pleasant change. I snapped away and got some lovely shots of the hair and make being done and also grabbed a few posed shots out side before we made our way to the ceremony.
Adlington Hall Ceremony
The venue of choice was the Great Hall at Adlington Hall. What a room that is! It creates a very atmospheric scene for a wedding and something very different to photograph. I would highly recommend that space for a ceremony, it lends itself perfectly to photography with a large wall full of windows which creates beautiful natural light that floods in from the side of the room. I think you'll agree, the photos of the ceremony are stunning!
After the ceremony, everyone headed outside to congratulate the newly weds and also to grab some food (which looked amazing)! I really enjoy this time of the day as you really do get chance to capture all the natural emotion of guests as they get to see the bride and groom for the first time together. The happiness is lovely to witness and obviously, great fun to photograph. Before the wedding breakfast, we managed to arrange a confetti tunnel which worked perfectly, and resulted in some brilliant photos!
Wedding Breakfast and Speeches
As always the speeches had me in stitches. The best men, had the whole room crying, with laughter, the Bride more so than anyone I think. That is what it is all about. Like most wedding there was a massively emotional element to these speeches, which is always a privilege to try and document for the couple.
The first dance at this wedding was always going to be fun! Sarah & Tom where quick to invite all of their lovely guests onto the dance floor to join them and this set the tone for the rest of the night. Lots of fun, laughter and some questionable dance moves (sorry that has to be said). Possibly my favourite part of the day, I get right in the mix and use this time to really interact with all the guests and this wedding was brilliant!
As a brilliant way to finish this amazing day. Sarah & Tom had arranged for some sparklers to be given to all the guests. I decided to try and form a tunnel with guests lined up either side of the Bride and Groom. This was brilliant fun and I absolutely love the photographs we got!
As always I need to say a huuuuggggeee thank you, to Sarah & Tom! You guys are amazing and make an amazing couple. I wish you all the best of look with your DIY ventures, and hope you live an amazing married life! Thanks again guys your wedding was awesome!!!!
