Maureen & Nick

I am always humbled whenever I get asked to shoot a wedding. Family weddings are no exception, so when a relative of my fiancé's asked me to cover her wedding in Oxford, I was super excited to document the day.

The wedding was in the very beautiful, De Vere Hotel at Sandford in Oxford. Wow! Being from Liverpool, I asked the Bride to send me some images of the venue and also researched myself and what a stunning Hotel it is.

I started the day by trying to capture the details before the guests arrived. I then spent some time with the Bride and Bridesmaid, for some preparation photos. The ceremony was in the gazebo on the banks of the river Thames, which made for some amazing outdoor ceremony shots. All of the guests where then taken to the outdoor courtyard, I used this to grab some quick group shots which the bride and groom requested.

The wedding then moved inside to have food (the food was amazing) and then speeches. I snapped away during speeches and then onto the dance floor as the alcohol began to flow and the dance moves got better and better. As luck would have it, we got a small window of some perfect sunset light so I grabbed the Bride and Groom for some couple portraits. Then, it was back to the dance floor.

I have added a selection of the best images from this wedding so please take a look. Hopefully you like what I captured and thank you for reading!
